Race Report by E.B.

So the past weekend was the winter cup at Padova. It was a tough 4 days at the track with the track constantly changing but we had a good setup going into qualifying.

Qualifying would only be 3 rounds with two to count. I had a good couple of runs until errors on my part drop me down the list. I managed to qualify 6th overall in nitro.

We didn't have much practice for electric, Ty and myself were tied for TQ until the last round where he just be me by 1 second putting me 2nd overall.

The electric finals would consist of 3 legs, 10mins each. The first leg was a disaster for as a few drivers decided they didn't like me in the race and did everything possible to take me out. I retired from the first leg to ensure my car wasn't destroyed for the next two finals.

The second leg was a battle between Ty and myself, Ty drove great, I tried to get passed on a few occasions when he stepped out of line but just wasn't enough of a gap to get through. I would finish 2nd.

The third and final leg sore Ty and me break from the field but I made a few errors allowing Ty to get away and I was to do battle with 3rd place. I managed to increase and gap and slowly catch Ty but I didn't have enough pace in the time I had. I finished 2nd overall and I was very happy after the bad start I had to the finals.

For nitro there would be no semi finals so I would line up 6th on the grid for the main final. The race started and immediately I ran into trouble getting hit over the first jump and then getting collected by a pile up under the cross over with dropped me down a few spaces straight away. After a few chaos laps I was able to find a rhythm and started putting some good laps and made my way through the field up to 2nd place. By the time I got to second Ty had managed to break away and It was difficult for me to make up the time as our pace was similar, I managed to decrease the gap but not enough. I would finish 2nd behind Ty by 7.9 seconds.

It was a difficult race and lots contend with but was still very happy with 2nd as there were some great drivers in the final.

It was a proline finish 1-2 in both classes.

A big thankyou to all my sponsors that always support me and offer me the best equipment and Mike my trusty mechanic who's always at my side, also my dad for getting the coffees 👍🏻

Now for more testing getting ready for next season. I can't wait.
