ENGINE TEMPERATURE - OFF ROAD
The temperature of the engine is important to save running too lean and causing premature wear or damage.
The temperature at which the engine should be run depends upon the ambient temperature, humidity, altitude and the track conditions.
Before hitting the track, you must make sure the engine has reached an operating temperature, as putting a cold engine under load can result in wear and damage.
Test the engine temperature at the end of each run and if needed make tuning adjustments to keep at the correct temperature.
On average the engine temperature should be ran as shown below (measured with a temperature gun):
This will help extend the life of your engine by avoiding running too lean, and causing excess wear.
